Midweek Prayer & Praise
Prayer is an essential part of our congregational life as we come together to ask God’s help for the things we do together, and to seek His blessing on people in the community who are facing their own particular challenges.
This happens in two ways:
Prayer & Praise Gathering – We meet fortnightly (on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 7.30pm) so that we can praise God and pray together as a group. Our focus is on what we can do as a church to serve the community, and it is an opportunity to pray for people in need that are known to us, whether members of the church or otherwise known to us as neighbours, relatives or friends. There may be special plans or activities in the church that we want to place before God…… or there may be families facing illness or bereavement. In all of these situations, we believe that God can draw alongside the broken-hearted and sustain them through their journey. In the wider society there are always pressing needs, both nationally and across our world, that we can bring before God in our prayers.
‘Prayer First’ Whatsapp Group – We have a group of over 50 Scrabo members who are committed to pray for those in need. An outline of particular circumstances can be shared immediately with them through use of our Prayer WhatsApp so that members can respond individually, whether in their own home or on the move.
If you have a particular situation that you would like prayer for, we would be delighted to support you. Please get in touch with our Minister Rev. Gary Ball, or a member of the congregation.
